Many people search for Sodium Extra for MCPE or Bedrock, often after seeing it in a Java Edition video. There is no Bedrock version, and this page explains why so you can avoid misleading downloads.
Short answer
Sodium Extra is a mod for Minecraft: Java Edition. It loads through Java mod loaders like Fabric or NeoForge and depends on Sodium, which is also Java-only. It does not run on Bedrock Edition, Pocket Edition (MCPE), consoles or the mobile apps.
Why it cannot work
Java Edition and Bedrock Edition are separate games that share a name and a look. Java Edition is written in Java and can load mod jars through a loader. Bedrock is written in C++ and uses add-ons built from behaviour packs and resource packs. A Java mod jar has nothing for Bedrock to run, and there is no converter that turns rendering mods like Sodium into Bedrock add-ons.
Watch out for fake files
Because the search demand exists, some sites publish files labelled "Sodium Extra MCPE" or ".mcpack" versions. These are not made by the Sodium Extra developer. At best they are unrelated resource packs; at worst they bundle adware or malware.

What Bedrock players can do
Bedrock has its own built-in video settings. Lowering render distance, turning off fancy graphics or beautiful skies, and reducing simulation distance on worlds you host are the standard ways to improve frame rate. These are game settings, not mods, so results vary by device.
